How It Works
When you import from cloud storage:
- Select files using the provider's file picker
- Files are downloaded to Cuneiform Chat
- Processing begins automatically
- Documents become searchable once complete
Permissions
Cuneiform Chat requests minimal permissions:
- Read access to selected files only
- No write access to your cloud storage
- No access to files you don't explicitly select
You can revoke access at any time through your cloud provider's settings.
Sync Behavior
Currently, cloud imports are one-time imports:
- Files are copied at the time of import
- Changes in cloud storage are not automatically synced
- To update content, re-import the modified files
Best Practices
- Organize files first — Structure your cloud folders before importing
- Select specific files — Import only what you need
- Check file formats — Ensure files are in supported formats
- Monitor processing — Verify imported files process successfully
Troubleshooting
Authorization Issues
If you can't connect:
- Check you're signed into the correct account
- Try revoking and re-authorizing access
- Ensure third-party app access is enabled in your provider settings
Import Failures
If files fail to import:
- Verify files are in supported formats
- Check files aren't corrupted
- Ensure you have permission to access the files
- Try importing fewer files at once
