Create Your First Agent
Agents are the chatbots that interact with your users. Each agent can be configured with specific knowledge, behavior, and personality.
Creating an Agent
- Navigate to Agents in the sidebar
- Click Create Agent
- Fill in the basic information:
- Name — A descriptive name for your agent (e.g., "Customer Support Bot")
- Description — What this agent does (for your reference)
Agent Configuration
System Prompt
The system prompt defines your agent's personality and behavior. This is the instruction that guides how your agent responds.
Example:
You are a helpful customer support assistant for Acme Corp.
You answer questions about our products and services based on the provided documentation.
Be friendly, professional, and concise.
If you don't know the answer, say so rather than making something up.Knowledge Base Selection
Choose which documents your agent can access:
- All Documents — Agent can search your entire knowledge base
- Specific Folders — Limit to certain document collections
Response Settings
Configure how your agent generates responses:
- Response Length — Brief, moderate, or detailed answers
- Tone — Professional, friendly, or custom
- Language — Primary language for responses
Save Your Agent
Click Create to save your agent. You can always edit these settings later.
Start with a simple system prompt and refine it based on how your agent performs in testing.
