Test Your Agent

Test Your Agent

Before deploying your agent, use the Playground to test its responses and fine-tune its behavior.

Accessing the Playground

  1. Navigate to Playground in the sidebar
  2. Select your agent from the dropdown
  3. Start chatting!

Testing Your Agent

Ask Sample Questions

Try questions that your users might ask:

  • Questions directly answered by your documents
  • Follow-up questions that require context
  • Edge cases and ambiguous queries
  • Questions outside your knowledge base (to test boundaries)

Evaluate Responses

For each response, consider:

  • Accuracy — Is the information correct?
  • Relevance — Does it answer the actual question?
  • Tone — Does it match your expected style?
  • Sources — Are document references helpful?

Refining Your Agent

Based on testing, you may want to adjust:

System Prompt

If responses aren't quite right, refine the system prompt:

  • Add specific instructions for common scenarios
  • Clarify the tone and personality
  • Set boundaries for what the agent should and shouldn't do

Knowledge Base

If the agent can't find information:

  • Check that relevant documents are uploaded
  • Verify documents processed successfully
  • Consider adding more detailed content

Keep a list of test questions and expected answers. Re-run these tests after making changes to ensure improvements don't break other behaviors.

Conversation History

The Playground maintains conversation history within a session. Use this to test:

  • Multi-turn conversations
  • Context retention
  • Follow-up questions

Ready to Deploy?

Once you're satisfied with your agent's performance, you can deploy it to various channels:

  • Telegram — Connect to Telegram
  • Discord — Add to your Discord server
  • Slack — Integrate with Slack workspaces
  • WhatsApp — Connect to WhatsApp Business
